SheffCare aims to provide the very best in care and comfort so that our residents can actively enjoy their later years. That means as well as excellent care on hand 24 hours a day, you want a space of your own. Somewhere you can sit in comfort with your own possessions around you, the privacy of your own bathroom and your own telephone to keep in touch with friends and family. That’s why our new home, 'Cotleigh', has been built to standards that far exceed those currently demanded by the Government.

Cotleigh is a newly built 62 bed home at Hackenthorpe, which takes local authority and private residents. Of the four wings suitable for elderly people who need extra support two of them cater for people with dementia.

Cotleigh has also been designed to play a part in the life of the local community as well as welcoming day visitors, it will also provide community facilities for older people living independently in the area, including a cafe, launderette, library, IT suite and a hairdressers.

At Cotleigh we can offer you that little bit extra:

• Large, bright rooms where you will have space to bring some of your own furniture.
• En-suite bathrooms to each room with toilet, basin and walk-in shower.
• ’Neighbourhood’ dining and sitting rooms. Each wing of 15 residents has its own dining and sitting areas.

• An easily accessible courtyard garden with maintained grassed areas, raised flower beds and a decorative fountain where you can sit on sheltered terraces.
• Excellent communal facilities including a cafe, launderette, library, IT suite and hairdresser.

• Organised holidays, events and activities arranged by our team of 'Activity Workers'.
• NVQ trained carers with a Quality Assurance Officer constantly monitoring staff performance to CSCI standards and beyond.

What Makes SheffCare Special?

SheffCare is a charitable company. it was set up thirteen years ago to provide the best possible care for elderly people in Sheffield.
It currently has 13 homes, including Cotleigh, and manages another two homes for South Yorkshire Housing Association.
At it’s head is a board of trustees who oversee the day to day running of the company by a chief executive and senior management.

Any profits made by SheffCare are ploughed back into the care of our elderly and the maintenance of the homes. That’s one of the reasons SheffCare homes can provide little extras, like the team of activity workers and the fleet of mini-buses it runs to take residents on outings and holidays.
