Turner and Townsend rooting for us!
Planting, pruning, weeding…it’s a far cry from the pressures of a busy office.
But the team at Sheffield professional services provider Turner & Townsend found time in their packed schedule to visit Nether Edge residential home and day care centre Grange Crescent to help residents with a day of gardening.
“We have extensive gardens and the upkeep of them is always a big job,” said Michelle Wright, the manager of the Grange Crescent.
“The team from Turner & Townsend came and got stuck in with everything from planting to weeding and pruning.
“Many of our residents love gardening and couldn’t wait to get involved in the jobs for the day alongside the volunteers – I think everybody enjoyed themselves enormously!
“We are delighted that the company decided to make us their community project for the year – the work they did really will make a difference for all our residents who enjoy the gardens so much.”
Taking part in the day of gardening were Turner & Townsend team members Diane Davis, Chris Peat, John Pointon, Michael Longfellow, Nick Jones and Richard Walshaw.
“Grange Crescent prides itself on being an integral part of the Nether Edge and Sharrow community,” Michelle added. “We always welcome volunteers and visitors so please do get in touch if you want to support us in any way.”
