Respite Care
If you are a carer or relative of an older person and would like to take some time out for a break or a holiday, respite care is the ideal solution. All of the Sheffcare homes offer respite care and at each one a warm welcome awaits; our staff will ensure that your loved one is made to feel immediately at ease, cared for and secure. So you can take some time for yourself happy in the knowledge that your loved one is in safe hands, enjoying company, varied activities and good food. We offer respite care throughout the year, even over the Christmas period.
Respite care is also a great help in making the decision to move into residential care permanently. It is a big decision to make, so if you would like to stay with us at any one of the Sheffcare homes for a short period to help you make the right choice, please contact us and we will make arrangements for you to join us.
If you or a loved one needs time to convalesce after a stay in hospital and you don’t feel confident about going straight back to your own home, come to stay with us until you do feel ready. You will have your own bedroom, three delicious meals a day and help with medications you may need. You can also enjoy to socialising, making new friends and joining in the various organised activities.
Periods of respite care can be a short as an overnight stay or as long as you feel is necessary.
