Cotleigh
Cotleigh offers excellent care in comfortable surroundings. You will have a large bedroom with en-suite facilities, including a walk-in shower. Each bedroom has television, telephone and computer points so that you may stay in regular contact with your family and friends and can watch your favourite programmes at your leisure. To ensure that you feel at home you may also wish to furnish your bedroom with your own pieces of furniture.
Despite being one of our larger homes, Cotleigh feels cosy and personal with four wings; each with its own dining and sitting areas. Two wings are specifically designed to offer a secure, supportive environment for those with dementia. For added peace of mind some of the beds in the dementia wings are fitted with sensor pads that can be set to alert staff should a resident be out of bed for an extended time. There are also larger communal areas where you can get together with other residents for entertainment, activities or just a chat. In addition to its television lounges Cotleigh has quiet rooms where you can sit and read your paper with no disturbances.
Cotleigh also has its own hair salon with a local hairdresser visiting two days during the week and a beauty therapist who calls in once a week. Cotleigh also benefits from an IT suite with internet access where residents can keep in touch with family abroad.
The residential home is set in its own gardens with sheltered terraces and easily accessible areas.
At Cotleigh we are not just a residential home. Other services include:
• day care facility
• short term or overnight care
• escorted hospital visits or doctor’s appointments
• specially adapted baths and help with bathing
• help with shopping or laundry
So, if you are the carer or relative of an older person and would like to take some time away, we will ensure you can go safe in the knowledge that you loved one is in safe hands.
