Hello, my name is Diane Flynn and I am the Registered Manager at Midhurst Residential Home. I have worked in the care sector all my working life but started as a Care Assistant as a summer temp at one of the Sheffield Council homes. The job became permanent and lasted 10 years. During this time I went to college and completed my Social Work qualification. After this I went into senior management at Springwood, another SheffCare home, where I had some very happy times over nine years.
I then took the opportunity of working in Personnel for a couple of years as a Recruitment Officer, which gave me useful knowledge in another area. My heart however was always in residential care and I went back as a temporary Manager. Eventually, this led to me becoming a permanent Manager which I have now been for the last eight years.
I am married and have a son, my hobbies are spending time with my family, travel and walking. One of my ambitions in life is to see as much of the world as possible and the people who live in it.
