Hello, my name is Martha Buchanan, I have worked in the caring sector for nearly 30 years now. I started doing voluntary work as a girl guide in an elderly persons home and it really inspired me. I went on to do my nurse training in Liverpool and did further training in Rotherham General. I continue to keep my nurse registration up to date with on-going training and I remain a qualified nurse.
I have held various positions within SheffCare over the years as an Assistant Principal, Deputy and for the last 10 years, as a Registered Manager.
I have enjoyed all areas of my employment and worked in different SheffCare homes, which have demanded different specialist needs. The quality of care is important to me and I strive for excellence in all areas.
I have completed my Registered Managers Award (RMA) which included NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier Award.
