Sally Pritchard

Chief Executive

Sally joined SheffCare in April this year having gained extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector. She has a proven record of success in the commissioning, development and management of customer-led services, working in partnership with statutory, voluntary, health, academic and charitable agencies as well as other RSLs. 

Prior to joining SheffCare Sally worked as Chief Executive for Choices Housing Association in Staffordshire for nearly 16 years where she established key partnerships with purchasers, other local providers, service user groups and all levels of local government, PCTs, and Joint Commissioning Units. During this time all services were rated Excellent (30%) or Good (70%) by Regulators/Inspectors.

Before joining Choices, Sally has worked in key positions for a number of local authorities and voluntary services. She was Head of Service for Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council; responsible for Elderly & Disabled People’s Housing Services and was Care and Assessment Manager for the Social Services Department of Warwickshire and Cheshire County Councils.

Committed to personal and professional development Sally has attained an MBA and a DMS - Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies. Sally is a CEO member of Vistage International; a mentoring and educational organisation and is a full member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Tracey Payne

Care Director

Tracey joined Sheffield City Council as a Care Assistant in December 1981after completing her pre-nursing training at Rother Valley College and several placements at Rotherham Hospital.  After gaining extensive knowledge and experience Tracey was promoted to Assistant Principal  at Park Grange Residential Home.  In 1990 she was awarded the Certificate in Social (CSS) and became Deputy Principal at Hillcrest Residential home.

In 1994 Tracey played a key role in managing the transfer of 15 homes from Sheffield City Council (SCC) to SheffCare Ltd.  In 1998 Tracey became the Registered Manager of Midhurst Road Residential home where she ensured high standards were maintained ensuring that the home was awarded, and kept, it’s excellent status with the CSCI (now the Quality Care Commission)    During this time Tracey attained an NVQ Level 4 in Care; an NVQ Level 4 in Management; a Registered Manager Award (RMA) and an NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier  Award.   In addition Tracey was also actively involved in supporting a number of our external partners, including: SCC; Sheffield PCT; and Home Care advising them on leadership changes and project managment in the Care area and working with the South Yorkshire Housing Association.
 
In 2006 Tracey became one of four Lead Registered Managers within SheffCare supporting and supervising two residential home’s Registered Managers, whilst continuing to manage Midhurst Road.

In 2009 SheffCare underwent a reorganisation and Tracey became Assistant Care Director of Care and Personalisation for SheffCare.  Tracey is currently interim Care Director and continues to play a crucial role as part of the executive team and in the development of SheffCare’s future strategy.
 

Andrea Ward

Head of H.R. and Training
 
Andrea joined the SheffCare team in November 2009. She was born and educated in Northern Ireland and moved to Huddersfield to attend university. She stayed in Huddersfield for 12 years obtaining her first position at John Smith’s Brewery. Andrea has also lived in Scotland for six years before moving to Sheffield in 2008.

Andrea has a wealth of experience in the private sector covering sales, H.R. and training roles and has worked for a bank and SkyTV in addition to working for 18 months as a consultant before moving to Sheffield. Andrea is married to Jonathan and has a 10 year old daughter, Harriet. After having recently completed her Master’s degree Andrea now has more time for other interests which include cooking and socialising.
